 Synopsis:

When the music ends, the dance begins.

Penny is a dancer at the Grande Teatro, a finishing school where she and 11 other young women are training to become the finest ballerinas in Italy. Tucked deep into the woods, the school is overseen by the mysterious and handsome young Master who keeps the girls ensconced in the estate and in the only life Penny has ever known.

When new memories appear, showing a life very different from the one she thought she’d been leading, Penny begins to question the Grand Teatro and the motivations of the Master. With the sweet kitchen boy, Cricket, at her side, Penny vows to escape the confines of her school and the strict rules that dictate every step she takes. But at every turn, the Master finds a way to stop her, and Penny must find a way to escape the school and uncover the secrets of her past before it’s too late.

You guyyssssss. This COVER. I cannot stop staring at it because it’s absolutely stunning and gorgeous. Also, I’ve been watching Flesh and Bone on Amazon Prime recently and it focuses on ballerinas so I’ve been digging that recently. And this Master character person just sounds SO mysterious and considering I don’t read much mystery, I’m oddly excited for this one! It just sounds really really awesome! I can’t wait to read it!

Is this one on your TBR? Do you love that cover as much as I do?

Synopsis:

Some love is infinite

“Don’t have a best friend that’s a girl” — this was the advice from my older cousin. I didn’t take it. Because he followed with, “friends don’t f*ck friends. And you’ll want to f*ck her.”

It was terrible advice.

My cousin should’ve told me that being best friends with Baylee Wright — since she was twelve — would be the best and worst decision of my life.

He should have told me to protect her from what was coming.

He should have told me that when a darkness crawled towards us, there’d be no safety net.

Now I’ve signed back on to the same Vegas acrobatic show as Baylee, working together for the first time in years. And she tells me that she’s having trouble in a certain “area” of her life — because of our past.

“You can help me fix it,” she says.

And then she hands me a list.

The love we carry for each other is the strongest and most vulnerable place in us all.

 Synopsis:

THE RULES ARE SIMPLE: You must be gifted. You must be younger than twenty-five. You must be willing to accept the dangers that you will face if you win.

Seventeen-year-old Cassandra Gupta’s entire life has been leading up to this—the opportunity to travel to space. But to secure a spot on this classified mission, she must first compete against the best and brightest people on the planet. People who are as determined as she to win a place on a journey to the farthest reaches of the universe.

Cassie is ready for the toll that the competition will take; the rigorous mental and physical tests designed to push her to the brink of her endurance. But nothing could have prepared her for the bonds she would form with the very people she hopes to beat. Or that with each passing day it would be more and more difficult to ignore the feeling that the true objective of the mission is being kept from her.

As the days until the launch tick down and the stakes rise higher than ever before, only one thing is clear to Cassie: she’ll never back down . . . even if it costs her everything.

YOU GUYS. THERE IS A COMPETITION IN THIS BOOK AND FOCUS ON STEM.

That’s all you need to sell me on a book to be honest. Also, I’m about to finish taking a year of physics at school, so I am sooo excited to see how the author incorporates everything together! This just sounds like a great book that I would looooove so I kinda need it now. Also, I’m interested to see what’s at stake. I WANT TO KNOW IT ALL. GIMME GIMME GIMME. (Alas, I digress.)
Have you heard of this book ? Is it on your TBR too?

Release Date: October 3rd, 2017

 Synopsis:

World War Two has shattered Valka’s homeland of Russia, and Valka is determined to help the effort. She knows her skills as a pilot rival the best of the men, so when an all-female aviation group forms, Valka is the first to sign up.

Flying has always meant freedom and exhilaration for Valka, but dropping bombs on German soldiers from a fragile canvas biplane is no joyride. The war is taking its toll on everyone, including the boy Valka grew up with, who is fighting for his life on the front lines.

As the war intensifies and those around her fall, Valka must decide how much she is willing to risk to defend the skies she once called home.

Inspired by the true story of the airwomen the Nazis called Night Witches, Gwen C. Katz weaves a tale of strength and sacrifice, learning to fight for yourself, and the perils of a world at war.

Fun fact about Mariam: I love learning about World War 2. I watch documentaries about it all the time. Like, at least once a month. This obsession definitely crosses over into my love for fiction literature. It’s upsetting that I haven’t read AS many WW2 novels as I would like (I have a bunch that I own but haven’t read yet) but I am SUPER excited about this novel by Katz! The fact that our MC in a PILOT IS SO AMAZING. YOU GO GIRL. And the tragedy/emotion that is associated with such a tragedy is what makes me so pumped for this book – knowing I’m going to feel all the feels. (Also, it’s based on a true story, oh my gosh. I am SOLD.)

Is this on your TBR? Are you just as excited as I am? DOESN’T IT SOUND AMAZING?
